Why Volunteer?

Volunteering in actionOur volunteers help us in many different ways, from taking and making calls to supporting individuals through our befriending schemes.

These dedicated people not only help to empower and improve the quality of life for our deafblind members but also enrich their own lives through their involvement with Deafblind UK.

All volunteers receive an appropriate induction plus ongoing support and advice to enable them to undertake these important roles.

All our volunteers must provide suitable references and be willing to undertake a DBS check.

To talk to someone about volunteering opportunities where you live, call the Information and Advice Line on 0800 132320 or 01733 358100 and ask for PIA.
