We are currently recruiting for two Community Engagement Officer’s to join the Deafblind UK Team based within the East Midlands area.

Location: Home based with travel in and around the Essex area.
Hours: 37.5 per week.
Salary: £21,422.10 per annum

The Role:
This role will be office based at our Head Office in Peterborough, your role will be to support and enable deafblind members to gain effective services based on their needs and location, to reduce isolation and enable members to connect to the local community.

This exciting opportunity requires a passionate, competent and confident engager to network and build relationships with social service teams and agencies to highlight the importance of Deafblind UK’s work, whilst identifying new referrals of people with combined sight and hearing loss.

As a Senior Community Engagement Officer you will be responsible for developing and proactively growing the client base, establishing and maintaining local peer support groups, recruitment and deploying of volunteers, showcasing Deafblind UKs digital inclusion project and have a level of supervisory responsibility including the supervision of 3 Community Engagement Officers who are based in West Yorkshire and Essex.
This role will also involve various administrative duties including recording data, monthly reporting, planning and reviewing of projects and working towards targets and agreed objectives.
