Reviewing Your Application

An experienced member of our recruitment team will review your application. They will consider how closely your experience and skills match those of the person specification. Depending on the requirements of the role, they may also be looking for particular qualifications, skills or experience but also will be interested in you and your values.

We will do our best to feedback on your application within five working days of our shortlisting date. However, there are times when it may take us longer, for example if the role you are applying for attracts a very large number of applications. We will try to keep you informed if this happens.

Interview and Assessment

This part of the process can vary depending on the role. It usually consists of one or very often two stages. We will let you know at the outset what the process will be. On occasions, you will be invited back in to meet more of the team. The important thing is that we find the right person for the role and this can sometimes take longer and involve more stages than we originally anticipated.

If you are shortlisted, we will contact you to arrange your interview. Interviews generally take place in the location of the job role or at our head office in Peterborough.

We welcome and actively encourage applications from people who have disabilities. If you require any support at your interview, for example, communication support or an interpreter, please tell us in your application or when we invite you to interview.

What to Expect

Here are some of the interview and assessment methods that we use as part of the interview process:

> Telephone interview: This will be with one of our recruitment team, a technical expert or the hiring manager.

> Face-to-face interview: Interviews usually involve the hiring manager for the role, another member of the team or the line manager’s manager. We use competency-based interviewing for many of our roles.

> Testing and assessment at interview: For certain roles we may choose to use others methods to select the best person for the role. This may be an in-tray exercise , a presentation or if you’re a Support Worker your assessment may involve our customers. We will always let you know what the process is before your interview so you can be well prepared and ready for the day.
