Naidex, Europe’s most established event for supporting independent living, showcases wide-ranging solutions to improve mobility and accessibility, the latest innovations and technologies to facilitate independent living, and explores the future of digital and physical accessibility at the NEC Birmingham on the 15th and 16th September.

The event features over 200 world-class suppliers, 100 inspirational seminars and panels, and a host of interactive and stimulating features to get stuck into, ensuring that visitors have an informative and enjoyable time.

Accessibility Summit

The Accessibility Summit is an exploration of the digital and physical accessibility environment and features revolutionary seminars and pioneering suppliers that will examine the very latest technologies, ideas and adaptations created to enhance ease, comfort, style and ultimately independence.

The Summit has been carefully designed so the visitor can learn and discover key information that can revolutionise the way people live their lives. In the Summit you can expect to see seminars from the likes of Passenger Assistance, titled: How new technology can make the world more accessible. You can expect to learn how their new app, and other developments in technology are helping make the world a more accessible place for people with disabilities.

Mobility Theatre

The Mobility Theatre is the best place for visitors to discover and learn about new technologies and services that will change their everyday life. One of the most exciting sessions in the Mobility Theatre will be by Liz Duncan, Learning Facilitator and Researcher at DeafBlind UK, make sure you pencil in this session as it’s not one to miss!

Furthermore, you can learn new information by visiting one of the many seminars that will be held over the course of the two-day event. One of the highlights will be the seminar led by Daniel Vong, Co-Founder of the BAWA Cane, in his seminar titled: Empowering blind lives: Our BAWA Cane story. Expect to learn about Daniel’s journey into assistive technology, the opportunities in assistive technologies, and the impact of data collected and analysed towards a future of inclusive, connected, independent living.
