Patrick Coughlan runs Chicago Marathon for Deafblind UK

Congratulations to Patrick Coughlan for completing the Chicago Marathon for us yesterday. Here’s what he had to say when we got in touch with him earlier:

“Despite the wet and drizzly weather, it was a great experience! I shaved 17 minutes off my London time from last year and finished the event in 4 hours and 13 minutes. The event was really well organised and I even bumped into a few other Brits running around the course.

Blood and sweat went in to yesterday’s run which was tough but very rewarding all the same. To raise funds for Deafblind UK to help them continue the support they give to those who need it, makes a few hours of hard exercise all the more worthwhile.”

Patrick has now run two marathons for Deafblind UK now, with our charity a cause close to his heart on account of his uncle being deafblind.

If you would like to sponsor Patrick and contribute to helping Deafblind UK continue our work in supporting those with combined sight and hearing loss living the lives they choose, you can do so here:
