Corporate Partnerships

The relationships we build with business are vital to creating a more inclusive and accessible world for people with sight and hearing loss. We’re proud to work alongside a range of organisations to harness the power of purpose and achieve lasting social impact.

Why work with us

Corporate Partnerships Deafblind UKWe firmly believe that when charity and business work together, it’s win-win! By becoming a Deafblind UK partner, not only are you supporting us to transform people’s lives, but it can lead to a host of positive outcomes for your business too, such as:

  • Improving staff engagement, productivity and talent retention
  • Achieving your company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objectives
  • Enhancing reputation and credibility with customers, employees, and other stakeholders
  • Becoming a more inclusive and equitable workplace that fosters a positive work culture

Did you know? An engaged and motivated team can not only lead to higher productivity but also promote a sense of belonging and loyalty. Millennials and Gen Z, in particular, are known to prioritize meaningful work and seek out employers whose values align with their own. Companies who work alongside charities can improve staff engagement and retain talent by signaling their commitment to making a meaningful difference to society.

Our partnerships are mutually beneficial. For Deafblind UK this means we can support more people living with deafblindness to thrive, while our partners can achieve their corporate social responsibility objectives whilst making a tangible impact.

Ways to get involved

Your business is unique, so we have lots of ways to create a bespoke, purpose-led partnership that will meet your objectives.

  • Corporate Partnerships Deafblind UKCharity of the Year nomination – Choosing Deafblind UK as your Charity of the Year is a great opportunity to unite your staff behind an inspiring cause and show your company’s commitment to making a difference. It enables us to work closely with you to identify your charitable objectives, leading to the creation of a bespoke fundraising programme with staff engagement at its heart. The scope of the partnership is really up to you! Our focus will be on the delivery of our mutual goals, working hard throughout the partnership to ensure they are met.
  • Staff Fundraising – Nothing gets the team motivated more than coming together to support a common cause. We can engage your staff to get involved with volunteering opportunities, the donation of goods for our charity retail shops, or sparking their creativity to bring their own fundraising plans to fruition.
  • Deafblind Awareness Teambuilding Sessions – Want to make your next team away day truly memorable? Deafblind UK can deliver engaging and educational deafblind awareness teambuilding sessions that not only improve collaboration, promote clearer communication skills and foster positive work culture, but also leave your team with a deeper understanding of deafblindness and inclusivity. Sessions are designed to be fun and informative and can be adapted to fit into any itinerary.
  • Corporate Partnerships Deafblind UKTeam challenges – We offer an exciting range of fundraising events throughout the year, including many that are suitable for teams and make great team builders for companies and colleagues, such as the Firewalk or the Ultra Challenge Series. To discover our full range of upcoming events click here.
  • Payroll Giving – Setting up a payroll giving scheme is an excellent way for your employees to support Deafblind UK, by committing to a tax-free monthly gift through their salary. It’s the most tax-efficient way to give. For example, if a basic-rate taxpayer sets up a £5 monthly salary donation, it will only cost them £4 a month; and just £3 if they are a higher-rate taxpayer. The taxman makes up the difference, meaning your employee’s money goes further to support our life-changing work. The only way higher taxpayers can automatically, pass their tax to charity is through a Payroll Giving scheme. Click here to read more about setting up payroll giving for your organisation
  • Corporate Partnerships Deafblind UKSponsorship Opportunities – Boost your brand with exclusive sponsorship opportunities including Open Hand magazine, Deafblind UK appeals or fundraising events, awareness weeks, and the internationally-renowned Deafblind UK Conference.
  • Cause-related Marketing – If you have a product or service that aligns with our cause, a commercial agreement to donate a proportion of its profits to Deafblind UK could be mutually beneficial. Alternative ideas might be to donate for each review or sale during a timeframe or for reaching a milestone followership on social media. Research shows most consumers think businesses should support charities. When faced with a choice between two companies that offered products and services for the same price, 82% said their decision would be affected by whether a company engaged with charities and its local community.
  • Sharing Expertise – Companies can provide strategic support from experts in their respective fields that can help us create a more inclusive world for people who are deafblind. By donating specialist skills, expertise and more, your business can make a huge difference to our work. Similarly, as the UK’s only charity that specialises in supporting people who are deafblind, we have unique insight and knowledge of the challenges faced by the deafblind community. And, we have an advisory board of people with lived experience of deafblindness who can give feedback, test products or be part of a focus group. We would welcome the chance to discuss the possibility of pro-bono or gift-in-kind support.
  • Corporate Partnerships Deafblind UKAdopt a Pot – If your business could home a Deafblind UK charity collection pot, please get in touch so we can provide one. Every little helps and encouraging your customers to pop in their loose change can really make a difference.
  • Corporate donations – With over £2.5 million needed each year to provide our full range of charitable services, the support of our corporate partners is so important. It means we can continue being there for thousands more who’ll need us in the future – rebuilding confidence, reducing isolation, and enabling people living with deafblindness to lead the lives they want.
