London Halloween Walk 2024

Saturday 26 October 2024

10km or 25km challenge

Embark on a hair-raising Halloween hike for Deafblind UK

Challenge yourself to a tremendously spooky stroll around some of the London’s scary streets and historic haunts. Choose your distance, gather your bravest guys & ghouls to make up a team – or go it alone if you dare and meet up with other chilling challengers. Dress to distress, and our creepy dungeon keepers at The Oval start & finish will meet, greet and shock. Once you escape, there’s ghostly looped routes, with zombie rest stops, and if you manage to get back in one piece, there’s a macabre medal, a glass of the Devil’s fizz, and some horrific hot food and drink to celebrate!

There are two distance options: a wicked 10 km walk & a horrific 25 km hike. Both start and finish at the Dungeon, deep inside The Oval Cricket Ground. The routes take in highlights of London’s famous landmarks as well as some horror hot spots.

Choosing to fundraise for Deafblind UK with your London Halloween Walk challenge will enable us to continue providing vital support to thousands of people living with dual sensory loss each year.

What’s included?

  • Pre-event training guides and access to the challenge app
  • Well-stocked refreshment stop en-route
  • Marshals, toilets and medics
  • Fully-signed route
  • Free neck buff
  • Finisher’s medal and certificate

Fundraising options:

With £3 million needing to be raised each year to fund Deafblind UK’s full range of services, the difference your support makes cannot be overstated. Every £25 that you raise could pay for another hour of specialist wellbeing support for someone who is deafblind.

Once you’ve decided on your challenge distance, there are three ways to fund your entry:

  • Self-funding – you pay the full cost of the event place with no minimum fundraising commitment – just raise as much as you can!
  • Charity sponsorship – you pay a reduced registration fee and, providing you reach the fundraising goal, Deafblind UK will cover the cost of your event place
  • Mixed funding – you pay half of the event place cost yourself and, providing you reach the fundraising goal, Deafblind UK will pay the balance of the event place cost

Please note: when taking part in Ultra Challenge events you are asked to pledge to raise a sponsorship target when registering for ‘charity sponsorship’ and ‘mixed funding’ options. The sponsorship target depends on the distance of your challenge.
