Nicola Schofield from Pudsey, Leeds is running the London Marathon 2023 for Deafblind UK!

This isn’t the first time Nicola is donning a Deafblind UK vest for the London Marathon – she ran for us before in 2016, and we’re thrilled that she’s chosen us again! Nicola is a seasoned marathon runner, having completed the London Marathon twice as well as both the Manchester and Yorkshire Marathons.

“Deafblind UK is a fabulous charity doing wonderful work for people living with sight and hearing loss,” she said. “The charity doesn’t have as much presence as some of the bigger charities, but they make a real difference to the lives of the people they support.”

Nicola works in the broadcasting industry as a Commercial Manager. Outside of work – and her marathon training of course! – Nicola loves walking her dog and trying new vegan recipes in the kitchen.

We asked Nicola what inspired her to run the London Marathon for a third time, and she said: “It’s legendary – London is by far the marathon everyone wants to run. It has a great atmosphere and sense of achievement.”

You can support Nicola by donating on her JustGiving page.
