Support Deafblind UK without reaching into your pockets

Do you ever feel like you would like to ‘give something back’ but you are also feeling the financial pinch? Here are some ways that you can support Deafblind UK, without over-stretching yourself.

Gift aid it!

If you are a UK tax payer then we can claim gift aid on every donation you give us. This means that if you donate £1, we can claim an extra 25p from the government at no extra cost to you. So, next time you do donate to charity, remember to complete the gift aid section on the donation form!

Online shopping

Next time you shop online, go to: www.giveasyoulive.com and select the website you need. This means that Deafblind UK receives up to 6p for every £1 you spend in that transaction – and it doesn’t cost you any extra!

Feeling social?

The easiest way to support us on social media is to share our posts so that your friends and family can see what we’re up to.
But if you’d like to help a little more then you could set up a Facebook birthday fundraiser. These are easy to set up and enable your contacts to donate instead of buying you a birthday gift. Again, this is no cost to you.

Leave a gift in your will

You can leave a gift to a charity of any amount in your will, and this will help us to continue to help people when you are no longer around. If you don’t have a will, we have teamed up with Octopus Legacy to give you a free will – simply click here or call 0800 773 4014  for more details.

Volunteer

If you have time on your hands, could you help someone else? Many of our members volunteer for us by offering peer to peer support or helping to raise awareness. We have lots of volunteering opportunities, contact us to find out more.

Spread the word!

Telling your friends, family and colleagues about Deafblind UK’s work can make a real difference. If you know, or work for, a local business mention us and it could lead to fundraising activities or even a charity partnership. You might also be able to inspire someone you know to take on a challenge event or volunteer with us.
