Deafblind UK welcomes Dr Liz Hodges as an Ambassador!

Portrait of Dr Liz Hodges.

We’re really excited to announce that Dr Liz Hodges has joined our team as an Ambassador. Liz has worked with people who are deafblind for well over thirty years, and we can’t wait to work with her!

Liz brings a great deal of knowledge and many years of experience to her role as an Ambassador. During this time, she’s worked with children, young adults, in local authority, schools and voluntary organisations. She has also been a leader in Higher Education for training specialists in deafblindness, particularly for specialist teachers of deafblind learners.

Throughout her career, Liz has also been involved in research focused on deafblindness, education, older people as well as a range of other topics. She’s spoken at a range of national and international conferences.

We’re delighted to welcome Liz to our ambassador programme, and her experience and insight will be a huge support to our award-winning education project. The project is making education more accessible for children and young people who are deafblind – you can find out more about it here.
