Deafblind UK is proud to announce a new Charity of the Year partnership with air quality specialists Camfil UK, working closely with staff on sites in Lancashire and Kent throughout 2026 to raise vital awareness, understanding and life-changing support for those affected by dual sensory loss.
A spokesperson for Camfil UK stated, “An estimated 450,000 people across the UK are living with deafblindness – a condition that presents unique challenges in daily life, independence, and social connection. Yet awareness of deafblindness and the support available remains surprisingly low. This cause has particular meaning for our team. One of our colleagues has an 11-month-old baby who was born both deaf and blind, along with another rare medical condition. Their experience has shown us first-hand how crucial organisations like Deafblind UK are.”
Deafblind UK provides practical support, residential care, advice, and social opportunities that help deafblind people build confidence and independence. They offer comfort and understanding to families navigating this journey.

- Raise awareness of deafblindness and the work of Deafblind UK
- Raise vital funds through various fundraising events throughout the year
- Support the hundreds of thousands of people affected by this condition
Through this collaboration, Camfil UK employees will provide vital fundraising to support Deafblind UK’s mission of ensuring that no one has to face deafblindness alone and are empowered to live the life they want. Fundraising activity has already started at the end of 2025, and the team are committed to making a real difference in 2026.
Robert Grew, Fundraising Development Manager at Deafblind UK, said:
“We are delighted to be working Camfil UK. This partnership will raise much-needed funds to support the charity’s ongoing work, and also foster a greater understanding of deafblindness within the workplace and beyond. It’s through working together with businesses like Camfil UK that we can break down barriers for the deafblind community and build a more inclusive and equitable society, so we’re extremely thankful for their kind support.”
