Light Up the Night 2026

This Christmas, it's time to deck your halls and make the season bright in support of those living with deafblindness. Untangle the fairy lights, dig out that inflatable Santa and join us in lighting up the night this ho-ho-holiday season.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

As the countdown to Christmas begins, if you're planning to decorate the outside of your home, workplace or community space, why not raise money for charity at the same time?

Whether you’re putting up sparkling reindeer, inflatable snowmen or cascading fairy lights, we want to know about it. Your display of holiday spirit could bring people together and make a big difference for those with dual sensory loss this winter.

For people who are deafblind, the short winter days and low light levels can make it difficult to get out of the house, socialise, or go about everyday tasks. The money you raise will help Deafblind UK be there for those affected by sight and hearing loss this festive season.

So, brighten your home, school or workplace, and spread the joy of Christmas in support of Deafblind UK.

Ready to Light up the night? Click here to register your interest

Is your street, town or village having a Christmas light switch-on event? We'd love to hear about it and for Deafblind UK to be your chosen charity. Simply complete the interest form and select 'switch-on event'.

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Step 1

Let us know you want to take part by completing the Light Up the Night interest form or calling our Fundraising Team on 01733 973452. We will be in touch with you to discuss your plans.

Step 2

Create a JustGiving page to accept online donations. We'll supply you with a Light Up the Night poster with a QR code linking to your JustGiving page, plus an optional donation bucket for any cash donations. We'll also spread the word about your display on our social media and website (with your permission).

Step 3

Switch your lights on and Light Up the Night! Spread the word using pictures of your display and enjoy the warm glow of knowing you've made a difference to the lives of people with sight and hearing loss.

Dave and Denise's story

Dave and his wife Denise from Surrey illuminate the outside of their house each Christmas and raise money for different charities. Last year, they fundraised for Deafblind UK, raising over £580.

It never fails to amaze them how generous people are, and now you too can Light Up the Night for Deafblind UK.

Thank you to Dave for allowing us to use his pictures in our promotions for the Light Up the Night campaign.
