We understand that people living with deafblindness may sometimes need extra support to help them with the wide variety of physical and psychological challenges they face.

What is counselling?

Our counselling service gives you one-to-one remote and confidential access to a fully qualified therapist who will listen and offer guidance. The sessions will support you through particularly difficult times. Counselling is carried out with a qualified counsellor and allows a safe space to be able to talk through feelings and emotions and issues that are affecting you. We will listen with empathy and without judgement and may paraphrase or reflect back when something is said that may be significant. Each session will be about you and what you want to talk about, we won’t tell you what to do, but rather help you to come to your own decisions.
