Watch out for Ian this London Marathon!

I did sport at school but never very well. I was always towards the back of the cross-country runs.

When I left school I did gym work but never ran until just over 10 years ago when a couple of friends decided that they were going to do a local 10k and asked me to join them. We trained and did the run but stopped running afterwards. A friend of mine told me about Parkrun – a weekly 5k run and doing that helped me to get my running mojo back. I have done a few half marathons and a couple of longer runs but always wanted to do the London Marathon.

Training is going well other than breaking my big toe at Christmas! and I am really looking forward to the marathon. If you see me wearing a bright [orange] running top please give me a shout!

I managed to get a charity place with Deafblind UK and some of the stories are really inspiring. I have been fundraising for a couple of months now, and if you would like to make a donation towards supporting Deafblind UK, my link is below. Thank you!
