Deafblind UK Rainbow Run announces local charity partners

This year, Deafblind UK is delighted to welcome three fantastic Peterborough-based charities to the Rainbow Run 2026! We are so pleased to offer supporters of these wonderful local charities the chance to run the rainbow and make a big difference for their chosen cause.

Peterborough Foodbank – helping local people and families who are facing food insecurity.

Peterborough food bank feed hundreds of families each week with emergency essential food. Because of the Cost of Living crisis their donations have dropped 26% in the last 12 months so funds to buy in food are critical

Peterborough Cat Rescue – supporting cats in need and helping them find safe, loving homes.

Peterborough Cat Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster-based charity helping cats and kittens across Peterborough and the surrounding area.

The money raised by Team PCR will help towards the real costs of rescue, including veterinary treatment, medication, vaccinations, neutering, microchipping, food, litter, transport and the many other everyday costs involved in caring for cats in need.

Free Kicks Foundation – using the power of football to support young people and communities.

The Free Kicks Foundation is a Nationwide charity whose aim is to provide football-related activities for ill, bereaved and disadvantaged children, giving them a day to remember with their favourite football club.

Help us support Peterborough Foodbank

There will be a food donation point in the Rainbow Run event village, where you can drop off donations for Peterborough Foodbank.

If you’re able to, please bring along what you can and help us support this vital local charity. Every donation, big or small, can make a difference to someone in our community.

Please note: we can only accept non-perishable food donations. Please do not bring fresh food.

There will be a charity shop donation point in the Rainbow Run event village, where you can drop off donations for Deafblind UK’s charity shops. This will allow us to raise vital funds for people experiencing sight and hearing loss in the UK. You can find out more about our shops here.
