The Manchester Marathon route
Starting close to the iconic Old Trafford stadium, home to Manchester United, you’ll run through the vibrant streets of England’s second city lined with thousands of cheering crowds, offering encouragement every single step of the way. Then, the route will finish with the stunning Manchester University as a backdrop, in the centre of the city.
The full route map will be available in early 2027.
Join the Deafblind UK Cheer Team!
Each year, runners, swimmers and walkers take on incredible challenges across the country, like the Manchester Marathon, to raise vital funds for Deafblind UK. Our Cheer Team is there every step of the way, creating an unforgettable race-day atmosphere by cheering, clapping, waving banners and encouraging Team Deafblind UK participants as they pass by, while helping to raise awareness of the charity.
This role is perfect for the friends and family of participants, giving you the chance to support your loved one from the sidelines as part of a sea of purple that’s easy for runners to spot in the crowd. It’s a fun and rewarding way to be part of their challenge, meet other supporters, learn more about deafblindness and the work of Deafblind UK, gain valuable volunteering experience, and share in an inspiring day you’ll never forget.
