Each year, runners, swimmers and walkers take on incredible challenges across the country, like the Great South Run, to raise vital funds for Deafblind UK. Our Cheer Team is there every step of the way, creating an unforgettable race-day atmosphere by cheering, clapping, waving banners and encouraging Team Deafblind UK participants as they pass by, while helping to raise awareness of the charity.
This role is perfect for the friends and family of participants, giving you the chance to support your loved one from the sidelines as part of a sea of purple that’s easy for runners to spot in the crowd. It’s a fun and rewarding way to be part of their challenge, meet other supporters, learn more about deafblindness and the work of Deafblind UK, gain valuable volunteering experience, and share in an inspiring day you’ll never forget.
